Rocking Physics Class this morning!

Hey all-Just wanted to let you know I sat in on Physics A this morning-Mr. A gave the students a very complex problem involving Cameron and his "rocket car" The students worked in groups for approximately an hour-such great conversations going on about physics and math! When Mr. A wanted to go through the solution so they could move on to their lab-several groups shouted-NOOOOOO we are so close!!! So Mr. A gave them information about the lab (they will be designing experiments to study the connection between either mass or surface area on air resistance to conduct tomorrow). While a couple of groups talked a little about their experiment-most jumped right back to the problem. It was very exciting to see students so focused on something for such an extended period of time! You hear so much about attention-deficit and the mtv 30sec generation-these students were focused and working for over an hour! Good stuff!
