Wow...less than two weeks

Just a quick update-we have finalized plans for our welcoming dinner-there will be some nice sandwich choices (grilled, herbed chicken breast, medium rare-roast sirloin of beef, albacore tuna salad with pesto mayonnaise, grilled seasonal vegetables). Included in the buffet is also: lettuce, sliced tomotoes, deli pickle spears; creamy cole slaw; homemade potato chips; seasonal fresh fruit salad; freshly baked bread/rolls; assorted home-style cookies and double fudge brownies (those are mine) and assorted sodas and water...I might have posted this before-if so, sorry for the duplication!

Final cleaning is going on in the cottages-getting the carpets shampooed. Lot of other things are going on as well: finalizing the music lessons; prepping for the Olympics; stress-management and time-management lessons so that we can help you all (and ourselves!); lesson planning; creating a swine flu policy (did you hear they expect 40% of the population to get infected??? Yikes!!).

I have some sad news to report (especially for the seniors). Tyler and Becca Irvine (cottage 313) have decided to separate and Tyler has left TGA. So, we are in the process of having to make a few housing changes. We have interviewed for Tyler's replacement and when all the final paperwork is through UT, I will post the updated housing situation. I'm hoping this will be sometime tomorrow. We are all heartbroken over this situation, but feel very happy with the candidates we interviewed-and I'm sure that the students will like either candidate...again, I will update you when the UT paperwork has been completed.

On the upside-we had a meeting this morning and everyone is getting very excited to have the students back-I think Melvin, in particular, has been going crazy this summer all by himself down in that cottage and is really looking to having the guys back!!!

That's all for now!
