Update

Sorry for the delay in posts-we have been really busy the past several days. Monday, the entire full-time staff took a First Aid/CPR certification course. I'm happy to say we all passed-and that none of us passed out! (some of the video/pics were a bit, um, icky?) I was particularly grossed out learning that if I was doing CPR correctly (depressing the chest 1.5-2 inches) that I would break the person's sternum. Sounds painful and bad, but considering the alternative if I don't do CPR in such an emergency, I suppose it is the lesser of two evils. Hopefully, none of us will have an occasion to use it.

On a brighter note, the last of the forms are straggling in...if you haven't sent us some of your forms, please get them to us asap-we have to make copies of the health stuff for your house manager, the TSD clinic, and UT Student health center-so they have the stuff when you arrive.

We have the juniors hooked up for a tour of UT and the UT library that first Monday-bring your walking shoes-and be ready to have your picture taken for your UT ID...

Olympic planning is going well-look for an email next week about which house you are in: Cannon, Drew, Tesla, or von Neumann (if you are up for a challenge, see if you can figure out why we selected those names). We will also let you know what "color" you are so you can bring a t-shirt of that color for the Olympic events.

That's it for now-I have another meeting to go to!
