In U.S. History, we will be having our first unit exam, covering chapters 1-3 in the text and the Wheeler/Becker supplement.
The rest of the week, we will begin Unit II: Revolution and Republic as we begin traveling on the "Road to the American Revolution."
This week in Precalculus, we will be finishing up our discussion on 3-D vectors by covering direction angles and direction cosines.
We will cover some on matrices, this may take one day,
We may have a mini-review over conic sections, and some parametric equations to get the students up to speed on Analytical Geometry of conic sections like focus, eccentricity of conic sections.
In English IV, we will be finishing up The Canterbury Tales!
In Mandarin I this week, we will review on how to tell time and dates. We will have a quiz on Thursday.
In Mandarin II this week, we will practice Calligraphy for 1 lesson, and we will start on the topic of Invitation to a Birthday Party.
Physics C - Quiz over rotational motion, starting Simple Harmonic Motion, pure inquiry lab with pendula
Physics A - Heat and Thermodynamics, hard lab dealing with calorimetry and the latent heat of ice
This week in Calculus I: Outside of class students will continue to work on their Maple Projects in their groups. In class we will cover Indeterminate Forms and the classic calculus tool L’Hopital’s Rule. We will end the week with a mid-chapter assessment.
This week in Calculus II: After our test on Monday we will move onto Sequences and Series. These concepts encompass enough interesting material to keep us busy the rest of the semester!
